Politeknik Inovasi Nusantara (Poltevara) has officially opened its doors to new student applicants for its inaugural academic year. This strategic step was taken to meet the high demand for competent workers in modern construction, renewable energy, and digital technology, all of which are rapidly expanding in Indonesia.
Located in The Monde City area, Batam, Poltevara stands as the first private polytechnic specializing in infrastructure and technology. Under the auspices of the Puri Global Sukses (PGS) Foundation, the institution offers three Diploma IV study programs: Construction Technology, Renewable Energy Technology, and Digital Intelligence Technology, featuring a curriculum designed to produce job-ready graduates.
Deputy Director I of Poltevara, Winda, stated that the establishment of this campus is a response to the gap between education and industry requirements. Data shows that most technology companies in the country still struggle to find qualified local talent, often having to rely on foreign experts to fill strategic positions. Furthermore, the national construction sector continues to face a significant deficit of certified experts.
To support instructional quality, the campus has been equipped with various supporting facilities, ranging from STEM laboratories and concrete materials labs to IoT and artificial intelligence-based supporting facilities. This aims to ensure students not only understand theory but are also skilled in practical field operations following global industry standards.
Admissions for prospective students opened in late June and will remain open until September 2026. The foundation is also committed to providing scholarship programs of up to 100 percent for high-achieving students and those requiring financial assistance. Through this initiative, Poltevara hopes to act as a catalyst in developing superior human resources capable of competing not only in the domestic market but also across the ASEAN region.
