The Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital (RSKKA) has officially resumed its humanitarian mission to provide equitable access to healthcare. This time, medical services are focused on residents living in four remote islands in the Java region, namely Bluto Island, Karamian Island, Raas Island, and Masalembu Island.
The humanitarian mission, scheduled to run for 13 days from July 12 to 25, 2026, is a tangible realization of the government's efforts to reach remote areas. Given the challenging geographical conditions, the presence of RSKKA is expected to be a lifeline for residents who have historically struggled to obtain adequate medical care.
The President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Retired Major General of the TNI, Dr. dr. Prihati Pujowaskito, emphasized that all health services during this mission can be accessed through the BPJS Kesehatan financing scheme. This is possible because the four target areas have been designated under the category of Districts without Qualifying Health Facilities (DPTFMS).
“The designation of the DPTFMS category has been adjusted in accordance with the applicable Decree. With this status, BPJS Kesehatan has the legal basis to send medical personnel and other supporting facilities directly to these high-need locations,” explained Prihati on Sunday (12/7/2026).
