A warm atmosphere enveloped the Darun Najah Islamic Boarding School in Sekarputih Village, Tegalampel District, Bondowoso Regency, on Sunday (5/7/2026). Hundreds of residents crowded the venue to accompany their sons participating in a free mass circumcision program initiated by the Tegalampel Sub-district Advisory Council of Nahdlatul Ulama (MWCNU) in collaboration with the Al-Fatih Clinic.
A total of 100 children registered as participants in this community service event. Professional medical personnel were deployed to ensure all stages of the medical procedures ran safely, starting from initial health screenings and the circumcision process to distributing medication and educating parents on post-circumcision care.
The Chairman of MWCNU Tegalampel, Haryono, emphasized that this initiative reflects the organization's social responsibility to deliver tangible benefits to the community. According to him, the role of Nahdlatul Ulama is not limited to religious guidance, but also encompasses humanitarian actions addressing the basic needs of residents, particularly access to quality healthcare services.
The Director of Al-Fatih Clinic, Gesit Wira Mustofa, welcomed the collaboration warmly. He expressed the clinic's commitment to continuing its support for similar health programs in the future as a way to educate the public on the importance of children's reproductive health through standardized medical procedures.
The event also received appreciation from local leaders of the Tegalampel Forkopimcam (Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum) who were present to inspect the activity. It is hoped that the synergy between community organizations and healthcare institutions will become a consistent annual program, easing the community's financial burden while improving children's overall health in the region.
