SAROLANGUN - The Sarolangun Regency Government has officially launched the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) with the concept of 6 Minimum Service Standards (SPM) at the regency level. This strategic step began with the inauguration at Posyandu Melati, Bernai Dalam Village, Sarolangun District, as a concrete effort to strengthen and bring access to basic services closer to the community.
The launch ceremony was marked by a ribbon-cutting and balloon release by the Chairperson of the Sarolangun Regency Posyandu, Mrs. Hj. Risha Fitria Hurmin, SE. This important event was also attended by the Regional Secretary of Sarolangun, Ir. Muhammad Arief, members of the TP PKK board, heads of regional government departments (OPD), sub-district heads, urban village heads, village chiefs, and hundreds of local health workers.
This institutional transformation refers to the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 13 of 2024. Through this new regulation, the role of Posyandu is now expanded beyond maternal and child health issues. Posyandu is now integrated to serve six pillars of basic services, which include education, health, public works, public housing, public peace and order, and social security.
The Chairperson of the Sarolangun District Posyandu, Mrs. Annisa Puspa Zulida Ilham, explained that there are currently 59 Posyandu units supported by 257 active workers in her area. To maximize this new program, the local TP PKK initiated an outreach movement called "Gaspol Sarolangun" to visit residents' homes directly in order to reduce stunting rates optimally.
On this occasion, the Regional Secretary of Sarolangun, Muhammad Arief, who read the directives of the Regent of Sarolangun, emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy. He instructed sub-district heads and village chiefs to provide full support, both in terms of institutional strengthening and operational budget allocation, to ensure the sustainability of the program.
The launch event concluded with a social gesture, delivering basic food aid to residents classified as living in extreme poverty. In addition, keys to Decent Housing were handed over, resulting from a tactical collaboration between the local government and the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) through the Large-Scale Karya Bakti program.
