Artificial intelligence (AI) has undergone a paradigm shift, from merely supporting software to a strategic instrument that determines a company's resilience in the global market. Amid the acceleration of digital transformation, the ability to adopt AI has now become an absolute requirement for organizations to remain relevant to constantly changing business dynamics.

Esa Unggul University lecturer, Ahmad Hidayat Sutawidjaya, in a National Webinar titled Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in the Era of Digital Transformation 5.0, emphasized that AI plays a role as the foundation of a comprehensive business transformation. According to him, the proper utilization of AI can increase productivity, sharpen decision-making, and trigger innovation across various operational lines, from marketing to the development of new business models.

For young entrepreneurs, AI serves as a significant accelerator. This technology assists entrepreneurs in mapping market needs, analyzing consumer behavior, and designing more precise marketing strategies. The competitive advantage arising from the synergy between human capabilities and technological speed is the key to business success today.

However, Ahmad also provided a critical note regarding the importance of governance in AI implementation. Risks such as algorithmic bias, data privacy protection, and the threat of technology misuse must be mitigated through strict human supervision. He emphasized that AI should be positioned as a collaborative partner that complements, rather than replaces, the human role in terms of creativity, empathy, and ethical decision-making.

The success of AI integration does not actually depend on the sophistication of the software alone, but on the organization's readiness to undergo cultural and mindset transformation. Ahmad suggested that companies take structured strategic steps, starting from the awareness stage to full integration (transformation), to ensure that the technology provides sustainable added value to the business.
