ZTE Corporation, a global information and communications technology giant, has officially entered into a strategic collaboration with PT Ekamas Mora Republik Tbk (MoraRepublic) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at MWC Shanghai 2026. This partnership aims to accelerate the development and expansion of broadband internet services, covering Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technologies for both residential and corporate segments in the country.
This collaboration comes in response to the surging demand from the public and industrial sectors for stable digital connectivity. MoraRepublic, an entity resulting from the merger between Moratelindo and MyRepublic, targets strengthening infrastructure in urban areas to developing regions to ensure more equitable digital inclusion.
President Director of ZTE Indonesia, Liu Sen, stated that his company will bring international-scale technical expertise and implementation methodologies to support MoraRepublic's operations. The company is optimistic that the synergy between MoraRepublic's local execution capabilities and ZTE's network technology will produce more reliable, efficient, and sustainable services for Indonesian consumers.
As a core part of the cooperation, both companies agreed to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into the end-to-end network architecture. The use of AI is projected to optimize network performance, ensure service quality, and reduce energy consumption in the broadband infrastructure developed moving forward.
CFO of MoraRepublic, Yopie Widjaja, emphasized that this step is a crucial strategy in strengthening the foundation of the national digital economy. With a smarter network approach, MoraRepublic is committed to continuously enhancing the speed and reliability of internet access to meet customer expectations and support Indonesia's dynamically growing digital innovation ecosystem.
