The 10th Cao Bang Province Sports Festival 2026 has officially begun, featuring competitions in two popular sports: 3x3 basketball and table tennis. This event has drawn significant attention, involving hundreds of athletes representing various districts and institutions from across the province, while also serving as a benchmark for sports development in the region over the last four years.
A total of 108 basketball athletes from 13 delegations and 184 table tennis athletes from 18 delegations have registered to participate in the competition. In the 3x3 basketball category, matches are divided into men's and women's events with a round-robin group system. Meanwhile, table tennis offers broader competition across seven events, including team, singles, and doubles events for men, women, and mixed pairs.
The primary goal of organizing this tournament is to assess the quality of physical training and motivate the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle in line with the national spirit. Furthermore, the organizers emphasized that this competition serves as a strategic platform for athletes to hone their professional skills and build relationships among local sports enthusiasts.
Moreover, the festival serves as a rigorous selection trial to identify elite athletes who will represent Cao Bang Province in the upcoming 10th National Sports and Physical Training Congress. A spirit of sportsmanship and high dedication was immediately evident on the court shortly after the opening ceremony took place.
The organizers have scheduled the 3x3 basketball matches to conclude on July 11, 2026, while the table tennis competition will wrap up with the medal ceremony for the winners on July 12, 2026. All matches are expected to deliver high-quality technical performances for the general public.
