A fatal accident befell a motorcyclist with the initials FNA on Mercedes Benz Highway, precisely in Pabuaran Hamlet, Cicadas Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, on Monday (6/7/2026) evening. The tragic incident occurred at around 19:00 WIB.
Acting Head of the Law Enforcement Unit of the Bogor Police Traffic Corps, Ipda Ares Rahman, revealed that the incident began when the victim tried to overtake a box truck driving ahead of him. However, the maneuver did not go smoothly, causing the victim to lose control of his vehicle.
Presumably due to slippery road conditions or a lack of maneuvering space when overtaking, the victim fell and suffered a fatal impact. Despite receiving medical attention, the rider's life could not be saved and they were declared dead at the scene.
Currently, the police have conducted a crime scene investigation (TKP) and gathered statements from several witnesses at the location to further investigate the chronology of the accident. The authorities also urge all road users to always prioritize safety and remain patient while driving, especially during rush hours.
