The Bekasi Regency Government has officially launched a public entertainment program in the form of a live music stage to be held regularly every Saturday night. Located at Sehati Park, in the Wibawa Mukti Stadium area, East Cikarang, this initiative is designed as a recreational venue as well as an economic driver for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The inaugural launch of this activity was attended directly by the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja. In his remarks, Asep explained that the presence of this public space addresses the community's need for a representative gathering area, considering that Bekasi Regency does not currently have a definitive town square. The Wibawa Mukti Stadium area is now being directed to become a friendly and dynamic family entertainment destination.
This collaborative idea was born from the synergy between the Cipayung Plus Student Alliance and a number of related regional apparatus within the Bekasi Regency Government. Going forward, the local government is committed to organizing and revitalizing the area into a more representative culinary center, in order to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors who come to spend their weekend.
Through the integration of music entertainment and culinary centers, this program is expected not only to be a means of recreation and socialization for residents, but also to stimulate sustainable economic growth in the informal sector in the Bekasi region.
