OMODA & JAECOO Indonesia marked a new chapter in its existence by hosting the global debut of their latest electric crossover, the Omoda O4, in Jakarta. Held under the theme "Super AI Night", the launch also officially inaugurated the merger of the two brands under a single management umbrella in the country.
Carrying the vision of "First AI Car For Everyone", this eco-friendly vehicle relies on the Dual Super Strategy pillar. This strategy combines the Super Hybrid System (SHS) with the Super Intelligent Cabin powered by artificial intelligence (Agentic AI). This advanced technology is designed not just to receive basic voice commands, but to analyze driving habits, understand the driver's implicit intent, and even detect the user's emotional responses.
The car's entertainment and control system is armed with ten AI Agents managing functions ranging from the vehicle's technical aspects to personal assistance. Shawn Xu, CEO of OMODA & JAECOO International, emphasized that the choice of Indonesia as the location for the world premiere was based on the dynamics of the national automotive market, which is highly adaptive to the latest technological innovations.
Aesthetically, the Omoda O4 adopts a Cyber Mecha concept with sharp, aerodynamic exterior lines and the Cyber Lightning illumination system. The futuristic feel continues into the cabin, which adopts a design resembling a spacecraft cockpit, complete with a flip-start model starter lever and an integrated entertainment console that supports wireless gaming to keep users entertained while charging.
In terms of performance, this electric crossover is equipped with a single electric motor producing 160 kW (217 PS) and 275 Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. The Omoda O4's energy source is supported by a 65.05 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with a maximum range of 553 kilometers based on the NEDC method. Its 119 kW DC fast charging capability is claimed to charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 22 minutes.
Beyond launching the car, the manufacturer also showcased the AIMOGA smart robotics ecosystem, featuring the Mornine humanoid robot and the Argos robot dog. For those wishing to see the Omoda O4 in person, the electric car is scheduled to appear at the upcoming GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026.
