The holding of the Karya Riau Bertuah (KRB) 2026 has officially recorded a significant economic achievement, with the total transaction value exceeding Rp1 billion. This fantastic figure shows an impressive increase, nearly double that of the similar event in the previous year.
Deputy Head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office for Riau Province, Syachman Perdymer, revealed that this surge was due to high public enthusiasm for local products. During the six-day event held at Living World Pekanbaru, an average of 8,500 visitors attended daily, providing a positive boost to the turnover of the participating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
More than just an exhibition, KRB 2026 is a manifestation of the systematic fostering strategy promoted by Bank Indonesia since 2019. Syachman emphasized that this support is sustainable, where MSMEs that pass the curation process will be prepared to penetrate the national market through various large-scale promotional events.
Bank Indonesia views the MSME sector as a crucial backbone of the economy in creating jobs and boosting people's income. Therefore, BI continues to strive to optimize product quality, management governance, and expand access to capital so that MSMEs in Riau can scale up and become highly competitive.
This annual event, which runs from June 30 to July 5, 2026, does not only focus on sales transactions but also serves as a platform for digital payment system education and creative economy promotion. This step is expected to create a more modern, adaptive MSME ecosystem ready to enter wider markets in the future.
