The Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam) officially released the achievements of the 2025 Political Party Integrity Index (IIPP) during a coordination meeting in Bali on Wednesday (11/2/2026). As a policy manager based on the 2025-2045 RPJMN, Kemenko Polkam emphasized that this initiative aims to strengthen the quality of substantive democracy, rather than serving as a form of government intervention in political parties.

Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Lodewijk F. Paulus, expressed his appreciation to the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), which managed to record the highest score among parliamentary political parties. This evaluation was compiled through objective research by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) together with political science experts by measuring five main dimensions: code of ethics, internal democracy, cadreization, recruitment, and financial transparency.

The measurement results showed that the integrity of national political parties on average fell into the "Moderate Integrity" category with a score of 61.22. The biggest challenge was found in the dimension of party financial transparency and accountability, which only scored 44.5, or the "Low Integrity" category. Meanwhile, other dimensions such as code of ethics and cadreization were in the moderate score range, which serves as an important note for improving internal party governance moving forward.

The government hopes that these IIPP results will serve as a reflective instrument for all political parties to strengthen their institutional systems. As emphasized by Expert Staff to the Governor of Bali, Tjok Bagus Pemayun, political party integrity is an absolute foundation for public trust. Without improvements in transparent governance, it is feared that democracy will only be trapped in procedural aspects without touching the essence of public welfare.

This coordination meeting also brought together strategic elements such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and academics to formulate steps for improving national political governance. Kemenko Polkam is committed to continuing to use IIPP as a benchmark standard in guiding the transformation of political parties to be more ethical, accountable, and oriented toward the nation's interests in order to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 target.
