Deltras Sidoarjo has officially begun a new chapter in its journey in national football by appointing Leonard Tupamahu as head coach. The former player who once defended Persija Jakarta has been given a full mandate to lead "The Lobster" squad through the fierce competition of the 2026/2027 Championship season.

Management's decision to recruit Leonard was based on the team's need for a leader whose vision aligns with the club's culture. Management believes that Leonard's experience and professional approach are crucial for building a solid team foundation, while also strengthening the family-like culture that has long been Deltras' identity.

For Leonard, the proposal from the Sidoarjo-based club is both a challenge and an opportunity to prove his capability as a coach. He revealed that the management's seriousness in formulating a long-term plan was the main reason behind his decision to accept the offer.

"The most fundamental consideration for me is that Deltras is a serious club. The management's approach made me feel like family, so I was confident in joining here," Leonard said on Sunday (12/7/2026).

Leonard's presence is expected to bring significant changes to Deltras. With a high target to win the championship title next season, the club is now focused on preparing through strategic alignment under the direction of their new helm.
