Leading marketing media portal, MIX Marcomm, has officially issued a firm statement regarding the protection of their digital intellectual property rights. The management strictly prohibits any form of content scraping, including text, photos, infographics, and videos published on their official website without prior written consent.
This preventive measure was taken in response to the widespread automated data scraping (web crawling) and indexing activities by artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital platforms. The board of directors emphasized that the unilateral use of digital assets to train AI models without an official license constitutes a copyright infringement.
This tightening policy aligns with the global trend in the press industry, which is beginning to restrict AI bots from consuming journalistic works for free. MIX Marcomm emphasized that violations of these data protection rules could lead to legal consequences in order to maintain the originality and integrity of their creative work.
