The Deputy Mayor of Tanjungpinang, Drs. H. Raja Ariza, M.M., directly led the route inspection ahead of the major Dekranasda Fun & Run 2026 event. This inspection was conducted during a 5-kilometer fun run with the Slow Runners community and several local running clubs, starting from the Gonggong Building Yard, Tanjungpinang, on Sunday (2/8).

Raja Ariza explained that this activity is not merely technical preparation for the event scheduled for August 9, 2026. This joint sports agenda also serves as a strategic means to strengthen relationships between the Tanjungpinang City Government and community members, while consistently promoting a healthy lifestyle.

According to Ariza, the essence of this fun run lies in the values of togetherness and social solidarity, rather than just a speed competition. He hopes that shared sports spaces like this can be organized regularly to foster closeness among residents while providing a safe and comfortable platform for the public to engage in physical activities.

In addition to promoting healthy living habits, the Dekranasda Fun & Run event is expected to bring a positive economic impact to local business owners. The Tanjungpinang City Government aims to package the event not only as a sports festival but also as a driving force for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) around the event location.
