Boosting Economic Growth, An Giang Strengthens Synergy with the Private Sector

An Giang Province is currently focusing its strategy on maximizing its regional economic potential through the VPSF 2026 dialogue forum. This meeting serves as a crucial bridge for local government and business entities to discuss institutional breakthroughs and strengthen public-private partnerships following the regional merger that brought new development space.

Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, emphasized the importance of transforming An Giang's geographical advantages—which span the border, agriculture, and maritime economy sectors—into real competitiveness. The three main pillars promoted in this collaboration include policy integration, broader market access through digital transformation, and the development of a generation of young entrepreneurs with integrity and competence.

Experts attending the forum emphasized the importance of a mindset shift, from a traditional production orientation to value creation. Former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Le Minh Hoan, encouraged An Giang to establish a startup and innovation center as a hub for local creative ideas, which is believed to be the foundation for sustainable economic independence.

In the dialogue, various technical issues were also discussed, including obstacles in accessing land, capital, and the need for quality human resources. Representatives of local businesses also expressed their hope for continuous government support regarding trademark protection and the digitalization of small businesses to strengthen the value chain of local products in broader markets.

Responding to this, the Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Ho Van Mung, stated the local government's commitment to continuing to open dialogue spaces for business operators. Through initiatives such as 'Entrepreneurs' Coffee', the local government ensures that every complaint and aspiration of the private sector is systematically followed up, in order to create a business ecosystem conducive to the progress of the province as a whole.
