PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has officially introduced the Mitsubishi New Xforce in a grand launch event at Mall Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta. Carrying the concept of an 'Elevated Urban SUV', this latest model brings comprehensive updates ranging from aesthetics, cabin comfort, active safety features, to the integration of the latest generation of eco-friendly technology.

President Director of PT MMKSI, Atsushi Kurita, stated that the presence of the New Xforce HEV marks a historic milestone as it is Mitsubishi's first hybrid vehicle to be marketed in the country. Produced locally at the PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) plant, this model strengthens Indonesia's position as an important production base to meet both domestic and global export market demands.

In terms of performance, this HEV variant relies on a 1.6L DOHC MIVEC petrol engine working in synergy with an electric motor generating 116 PS and instant torque of 255 Nm. This second-generation hybrid system prioritizes dominant electric drive, resulting in smooth acceleration, a quiet cabin, and optimal fuel efficiency. With a full tank capacity of 42 liters, this compact SUV is claimed to be capable of traveling up to more than 1,000 kilometers.

To support passenger comfort, Mitsubishi has embedded premium features, including a frameless panoramic roof that gives the cabin a more spacious and luxurious feel. In addition, the interior is equipped with a premium audio system developed in collaboration with Yamaha, dual air conditioning with NanoeX air purification technology, an electric driver's seat, and a retuned suspension to better absorb urban road bumps.

Driving robustness is also supported by seven adaptive Drive Modes, including Wet mode for wet roads, Tarmac for performance on paved roads, and EV Priority. In terms of safety, the New Xforce is equipped with active driver assistance shields such as Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Warning (BSW) to provide maximum protection during the journey.

The Mitsubishi New Xforce is marketed in three variants: Exceed as the standard type, Ultimate with complete comfort features, and HEV as the highest trim with electrification technology. The public and domestic automotive enthusiasts can view and test the performance of this hybrid SUV firsthand at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 exhibition.
