The Central Java Provincial Board of the Indonesian Padel Association (Pengprov PBPI) has expressed its full support for the Semarang Mayor's Cup Padel Tournament. The event is expected to be a positive catalyst for nurturing young athletes and a means of popularizing padel, a sport that is currently gaining public interest.
General Chairman of the Central Java PBPI Provincial Board, Arganto Wibowo Pangarso, revealed that this city-level tournament is not just an ordinary competition. For him, the tournament represents a strategic step in building a solid foundation for the sport of padel at the regional level, especially in Central Java.
"We from the Central Java PBPI Provincial Board fully support the Semarang Mayor's Cup Padel Tournament. This is an excellent initial step to introduce and hone the skills of local padel athletes," Arganto said.
Seeing the high enthusiasm in the capital of Central Java, Arganto also encouraged PBPI boards in other regencies and cities to take similar steps. He hopes that synergy with local governments can result in similar tournaments, such as the Regent's Cup or Mayor's Cup in their respective regions on a regular basis.
