Business leaders, legal advisors, and audit experts from various countries across the Asia-Pacific region held a strategic meeting titled the Asia Pacific Practice & Business Leadership Retreat. The event, held at the Merusaka Hotel, Bali, on July 6–7, 2026, served as a crucial forum for discussing business challenges amid global geopolitical dynamics and technological disruption.
Delegates in attendance included representatives from various countries, ranging from China and Singapore to the Netherlands and Belgium. In this forum, executives delved into the impact of global tensions, including the United States-Iran conflict, on economic stability and government policies in their respective operational regions.
Asia Pacific Regional Director at TGS, Mikail Jaman, revealed that this meeting was designed to provide space for reflection for corporate leaders. Through peer discussions, business practitioners shared insights on industry adaptation steps and necessary policy responses to cope with global economic pressures.
In addition to geopolitical issues, the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) was a hot topic of discussion. Jaman emphasized that companies neglecting AI integration risk losing their competitive edge. Although AI promises significant operational efficiency, he believes this technology will not replace the essence of human relationships in strategic decision-making and business negotiations.
It is hoped that through professional mentor guidance over the two days, business leaders can sharpen their intuition and accelerate decision-making. This collective effort is expected to equip companies to navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly changing business future.
