The Central Sulawesi Provincial Government has firmly instructed all healthcare facilities, particularly regional hospitals, to immediately strengthen governance and service standards. This step is being taken as a strategic response to the transformation of the national health payment system, namely the transition from Indonesia Case Base Groups (INA-CBG) to Indonesian Diagnosis Related Groups (I-DRG).
Regional Secretary of Central Sulawesi Province, Novalina, emphasized that the change in the financing system must be used as momentum to carry out comprehensive improvements. According to her, hospitals are required to be more professional, not only in clinical aspects, but also in digitalizing medical records, financial management, and strengthening patient safety as a top priority.
Furthermore, Novalina stressed that this transformation goes beyond mere regulatory adjustments. Her party requested each hospital to increase human resource capacity and optimally utilize information technology to ensure public satisfaction with the services provided. The success of this transformation is measured by how much the service quality is felt by the public.
Regarding financial management, hospitals with Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) status are requested to carry out their mandate in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri) Number 79. The BLUD status is expected to foster fiscal independence and increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD), while maintaining excellent public service quality.
To equip hospital managers, the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government held an intensive workshop featuring national speakers. The topics covered included BLUD management solutions, I-DRG transition strategies, accurate diagnosis coding techniques, and preventing potential fraud in health claims.
