BANYUWANGI — The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) Abdurrahman Saleh Air Base held a community social action in the remote areas of Banyuwangi, East Java. The event, centered at the TNI AU Rajegwesi Detachment in Sarongan Village, Pesanggaran District, on Friday (24/7/2026), was organized to commemorate the 79th Service Day of the Air Force.
Commander of Abdurrahman Saleh Air Base, Air First Marshal Reza R.R. Sastranegara, directly led the social service event, accompanied by the Vice Regent of Banyuwangi, Mujiono. This concrete action aims to bring the Indonesian Air Force closer to the community while making a real contribution to regional development and improving public welfare.
During this event, the Air Force distributed at least 150 basic food packages to families in need around the Pesanggaran District. Additionally, free healthcare services were provided by involving medical teams from the dr. Munir Air Force Hospital (RSAU) of Abdurrahman Saleh Air Base.
Local residents enthusiastically took advantage of this opportunity to check their physical health. The medical team provided various free examination services, ranging from blood pressure checks, blood sugar levels, uric acid, to dental and eye examinations.
Vice Regent of Banyuwangi, Mujiono, expressed his deep appreciation for the initiative and care shown by the Air Force ranks. According to him, this kind of cross-sector collaboration is highly helpful in strengthening the health insurance programs that have been rolled out by the Banyuwangi Regency Government, such as patient outreach services and the ASN Berbagi (Civil Servant Sharing) program.
A positive response also came from local residents, including Samini. After having her health complaints checked and receiving free vitamins and medical education, she expressed her gratitude for the presence of the program, which is considered to greatly ease the community's burden.
