PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) officially took a strategic step by acquiring property assets worth IDR 780 billion. The transaction, involving affiliated entities under the Lippo Group umbrella, includes the transfer of ownership rights for several strategic property assets located across various regions in Indonesia.

The acquisition process involves five subsidiaries of Multipolar as the seller entities, namely Balaraja Sentosa, Surya Asri Lestari, Nusa Malioboro Indah, Panca Megah Utama, and Citra Cito Perkasa. This agreement was formalized through the signing of a binding sale and purchase agreement on June 30, 2026.

The acquired asset portfolio includes vacant land in Balaraja, property in Bogor, Gedoeng Merah Shopping Center in Yogyakarta, Plaza Gresik in East Java, and strata title units in Mall City of Tomorrow, Surabaya. These assets were selected because they are considered to hold crucial strategic value for the development of the company's integrated retail ecosystem network.

MPPA management explained that direct ownership of these assets is far more beneficial than leasing schemes. This step is considered capable of providing long-term operational certainty, mitigating the risk of rising rental costs, and offering full flexibility in designing store layouts and independently managing tenant mix.

Through the acquisition of these assets, the company now has greater flexibility to carry out gradual developments. This is projected to support the strengthening of the multi-format business model and facilitate the integration of modern retail services with the Omni-channel strategy currently being developed by the company.
