PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) is taking a strategic step to expand its business scope beyond telecommunication tower leasing. Through its main subsidiary, PT Tower Bersama (TB), the telecommunication infrastructure issuer is preparing to enter the Internet Access Gateway Services or Network Access Point (NAP) business.

This expansion marks the company's transformation to build a more integrated digital infrastructure ecosystem. By holding the KBLI 61107 code, PT Tower Bersama will no longer only rely on leasing towers and micro cell poles to cellular operators, but will also provide internet network interconnection gateways.

TBIG's management explained that this expansion is classified as a material transaction because PT Tower Bersama contributes more than 20 percent to the company's total consolidated revenue. This move is expected to optimize market opportunities amid the soaring demand for data connectivity in the country, while also serving as a new growth engine for the company.

TBIG's current financial condition is considered solid enough to fund the expansion plan. As of March 31, 2026, the company recorded total assets of IDR 46.51 trillion with equity of IDR 13.26 trillion. In the first quarter of 2026, TBIG also successfully posted revenue of IDR 1.71 trillion and a net profit of IDR 405.16 billion.

Nevertheless, this business diversification plan still requires the approval of shareholders. The company is scheduled to hold a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) on August 24, 2026, to obtain official approval for the addition of the new business activity.
