SUNGAI GELAM – To welcome the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Muaro Jambi is preparing to hold a series of recreational competitions. The activities, scheduled to take place from August 12 to 13, 2026, will involve all elements of the madrasah, from students to educators and education staff.

The OSIM (Intra-Madrasah Student Organization) Advisor of MAN 1 Muaro Jambi, Nur Rohman Gesang Subagio, S.Pd., revealed that this series of events was designed directly by the OSIM management. Through careful coordination, they chose types of games that are not only entertaining but also foster teamwork. Some of the competitions prepared include the balloon relay and cracker-eating contest, which are considered suitable for everyone to join regardless of age.

Meanwhile, the Vice Head of Madrasah for Student Affairs, Siti Fatimah, emphasized that this independence momentum holds a deeper essence than mere annual entertainment. According to her, this event serves as an effective medium to instill nationalistic values and appreciate the services of heroes from a young age. She hopes these activities can hone the students' discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship.

Currently, the organizing committee continues to finalize technical preparations to ensure the entire series of events runs orderly, safely, and conductively. With solid collaboration between OSIM and the school, MAN 1 Muaro Jambi is optimistic that this year's Independence Day celebration can serve as a platform to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and the spirit of mutual cooperation within the madrasah environment.
