The Branch Executive Board (DPC) of PDI Perjuangan Surabaya City is currently intensifying organizational consolidation steps down to the grassroots level. The main focus of this movement is to accelerate the regeneration process by providing leadership opportunities to young cadres and Generation Z at the sub-district or sub-branch (ranting) level.
These efforts are realized through simultaneous consolidation meetings involving the sub-district level management (PAC) in Tenggilis Mejoyo and Gunung Anyar, along with the management of sub-branches (ranting) and sub-sub-branches (anak ranting). This step is considered strategic to ensure the alignment of the party's movement in responding to social dynamics in society.
Regional Advisor for Electoral District (Dapil) 3 of the Surabaya DPC PDIP, Anas Karno, emphasized that this forum serves as a space to recruit potential figures capable of carrying the mantle of leadership relay. According to Anas, the involvement of young people is key to keeping the party solid and relevant in addressing the challenges of the times and the needs of residents in their respective areas.
In line with this, the Chairman of PAC Tenggilis Mejoyo, Fernandes Dadul, stated that regeneration is an urgent organizational need. He argued that the party must be adaptive by providing a platform for cadres with integrity and capable capacity so that the political struggle can continue sustainably.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of PAC Gunung Anyar, H. Sudarsono, added that the active participation of Generation Z is highly crucial amidst rapid technological developments. The creative and fresh mindset of young people is believed to be able to bridge the party with young voters who will increasingly dominate in the future, although the recruitment process will still be carried out in an orderly manner in accordance with the party's internal constitution.
