Mount Lemah, located in Wonosobo Regency, Central Java, has recently become a favorite destination for beginner hikers. Standing at an altitude of 1,640 meters above sea level (masl), this mountain indeed offers captivating views, but this does not mean the hike can be done without thorough preparation.

Although considered friendly for novice climbers, the 2.73-kilometer distance with an elevation gain of 343 meters still demands peak stamina. Hikers are advised to choose the agricultural path upon arriving at Post 1 after passing the tea garden, as this route is much easier compared to the Mount Watu trail, which tends to be challenging and passes through forested terrain with sharp ups and downs.

Foot safety is a vital aspect of the journey. Given the steep and slippery spots along the trail, hikers are strongly advised to wear mountain-specific shoes or sandals with rugged soles to maintain stability. In addition, in the narrow area leading to the summit, hikers are expected to be patient and take turns passing, especially in areas equipped with safety ropes.

Departure time also determines the quality of the hiking experience. The management advises hikers to start their journey from the basecamp between 05:30 and 06:00 WIB. Starting the hike early in the morning allows tourists to enjoy clear views from the summit before the heavy fog, which usually rolls in by midday, covers the area.
