Erick emphasized that President Prabowo fully supports the implementation of long-term national training center (pelatnas) programs, which are considered crucial for producing world-class athletes.
Furthermore, Erick explained that the President's perspective is not limited to a single sport, but encompasses the entire sports sector that contributes to 'national branding.' This synergy is expected to strengthen Indonesia's position through the development of a more standardized sports industry and sport tourism.
As a concrete step, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is now officially in charge of the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI) for the sports sector. This policy is expected to serve as a strategic momentum for Indonesia to strengthen its sports industry ecosystem while unlocking more credible business opportunities for stakeholders in the future.
