The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) clarified that the planned travel of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), to various regions across the nation is not a political safari agenda. The move is emphasized as being purely to fulfill various invitations coming directly from the public.
Deputy Chairperson of PSI, Isyana Bagoes Oka, explained that this visit is based on Jokowi's desire to fulfill the aspirations of the people. In addition to attending public invitations, Jokowi is also scheduled to attend a number of activities organized by PSI in various regions.
According to the plan, the tour of 38 provinces in Indonesia will begin in late June 2026, with Lampung Province as the starting point before continuing to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Nevertheless, PSI remains reluctant to detail the exact starting date of the travel agenda.
On the other hand, Isyana also chose to remain tight-lipped regarding the rumors that Jokowi will soon officially join PSI and occupy a strategic position as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the rose-logoed party.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the PSI Central Executive Board (DPP), Bestari Barus, added that this series of visits is part of Jokowi's activities as a former head of state to continue greeting citizens. This comprehensive visit plan is prepared to ensure that ties with communities in various regions remain closely maintained.
