BULELENG – Commemorating the 61st Anniversary of the Indonesian Tax Consultants Association (IKPI), the IKPI Buleleng Branch held a 3x3 basketball tournament titled the IKPI Cup Buleleng on Saturday (1/8/2026). This competition is the inaugural program initiated under the leadership of the Chairman of the IKPI Buleleng Branch, I Made Susila Darma, as an effort to bring the organization closer to the wider community.
Unlike the majority of IKPI branches in other regions which tend to celebrate their anniversary internally or through healthy walk activities, IKPI Buleleng chose a more interactive approach by involving the younger generation. This step was taken to tap into the high interest of the Buleleng community in the sport of basketball.
The Chairman of the IKPI Buleleng Branch, I Made Susila Darma, explained that this tournament complements the national simultaneous fun walk agenda instructed by the central management. He saw great potential in the enthusiasm for basketball in Buleleng, thus deciding to facilitate a competition platform for sports lovers.
Before the competition began, the organizers also renovated the basketball court facilities used. The improvements included repainting the court, repairing the backboards, and painting the basketball rings to ensure the comfort and safety of the players. The tournament was also officially opened by the Vice Regent of Buleleng as a form of support from the local government.
Through this event, Susila hopes that IKPI will not only be known as an association for the tax consultant profession, but also as an organization that cares about public health and local sports development. This event is expected to strengthen the synergy between IKPI, the government, and the Buleleng community.
