Officers from the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) and Fire Department of Padang Pariaman Regency detained nine song guides during a raid on nightlife venues in the early hours of Friday (31/7/2026). The raid targeted several entertainment venues deemed to have violated local operational regulations.

Head of Padang Pariaman Satpol PP and Fire Department, Rifki Monrizal, explained that the nine song guides were detained from two different karaoke cafes in the Lubuk Alung District area. Both nightlife venues were found operating past the curfew set by the local government.

According to Rifki, the monitoring operation was conducted from Thursday night to Friday morning in two areas, namely Batang Anai District and Lubuk Alung District. This enforcement action is a firm step in upholding the Local Regulation (Perda) regarding peace, public order, and the supervision of nightlife activities.

After being detained, the song guides were immediately taken to the Padang Pariaman Satpol PP and Fire Department Command Headquarters in Lubuk Alung for further record-keeping. They underwent intensive examination by Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) for the creation of Investigation Reports (BAP) as well as receiving moral guidance.

The authorities emphasized that they would coordinate with relevant agencies to send them to social rehabilitation centers if the investigation process reveals indications of involvement in prostitution. Moving forward, Satpol PP is committed to tightening supervision to ensure all entertainment businesses comply with local regulations.
