The Cimahi City Government officially relaunched the Car Free Day (CFD) 2026 program on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Centered in the Cimahi Square (Alun-Alun Cimahi) area, the activity, which runs from 06.00 to 11.00 WIB, was initiated as part of the celebrations for the 25th Anniversary of Cimahi City.
This step was taken by the local government to promote a healthy lifestyle while maximizing the function of public spaces. In addition to temporarily reducing air pollution, this momentum is expected to serve as a means of positive social interaction and strengthen ties among the residents of Cimahi City.
A variety of interesting events were prepared to enliven this inaugural launch, ranging from mass gymnastics, folk entertainment stages, to the provision of free health check-up services. The presence of these health facilities is expected to increase public awareness about the importance of early detection of their physical conditions.
Not only focusing on health and recreation, Cimahi's CFD also serves as an economic driver by presenting a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) bazaar. Through this platform, local business actors are given special space to showcase and sell their superior products to boost the regional economy.
The Cimahi City Government invites all levels of society to actively participate in consistently utilizing this public space. It is hoped that the CFD will not only be a brief ceremonial event, but a routine agenda capable of realizing a greener, more inclusive, healthy, and sustainably prosperous Cimahi City.
