Hundreds of residents of Toboali, South Bangka Regency, packed the South Bangka Area Wasprod Office to participate in the series of social programs of PT Timah (Persero) Tbk's Devotion Month on Thursday (30/7/2026). This activity was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the state-owned enterprise, carrying the community theme, "Timah for the People".

This social action drew great attention from the local community through three main programs: free health checks, blood donation, and mass circumcision. It was recorded that 145 residents received free health checks, 111 children participated in the mass circumcision, and 41 blood bags were successfully collected from the blood donation drive.

The Vice Regent of South Bangka, Debby Vita Dewi, highly appreciated this social initiative. According to her, this program is concrete evidence of the presence of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in directly addressing the basic needs of the community and strengthening synergy between the local government, the corporation, and the residents.

Echoing this sentiment, the Acting Head of the ESDM Office Branch of Bangka Belitung Islands Province for the Central Bangka and South Bangka Region, Deddi Agusta, also appreciated the high positive response from the community. In addition to praising the success of the event, he suggested that program socialization be conducted earlier in the future so that the benefits can be enjoyed more evenly by more residents.

Before coming to Toboali, the Devotion Month series welcoming PT Timah's 50th Anniversary had already visited several other locations, including the Sungailiat and Belinyu areas in Bangka Regency, as well as Central Bangka Regency. This program is expected to continue as a form of care for improving the health quality of the community around mining operational areas.
