Police officers from the Manggarai Police collaborated with the Manggarai Regency Transportation Agency to implement tight security during the Economy and Business Festival held in the STIE Karya Ruteng campus yard on Saturday (4/7/2026). This step was taken to ensure the entire series of events ran safely, orderly, and smoothly for both participants and visitors.

The security detail, which began at 3:00 PM WITA, was led directly by Carep Village Bhabinkamtibmas, Police Chief Brigadier Bonaventura Laba, alongside Pau Village Bhabinkamtibmas, Police Chief Brigadier M. Alif Jafrin. Officers on the ground focused on directing traffic flow around the campus area and carrying out intensive monitoring at the exhibition venue, which was crowded with MSME actors and the general public.

In addition to maintaining security in the main area, officers patrolled vehicle parking areas to anticipate potential criminal acts. Police Chief Brigadier Bonaventura stated that a humanistic approach was used, where officers not only focused on physical security but also actively engaged in dialogue with vendors and visitors to promote public order and security messages (Kamtibmas).

The police emphasized that cross-sector collaboration between the National Police and the Local Government was the main key to the event's success. This synergy proved effective in relieving traffic congestion at crucial points surrounding the location, allowing public economic activities during the festival to take place without significant obstacles or security disruptions.

Until the end of all activities, the situation on-site was reported to remain under control. Organizers and the local community expressed appreciation for the dedication of officers, who were deemed prompt and professional in creating a comfortable atmosphere while strengthening harmonious relations between the police department and the wider community within the jurisdiction of the Manggarai Police.
