PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to accelerate its transformation steps through a program titled BRIvolution Reignite. This strategic initiative is designed to strengthen the company's business fundamentals while expanding its contribution to strengthening the people's economy sustainably. As part of the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BRI is committed to aligning business growth with national priority programs.
President Director of BRI, Hery Gunardi, explained that BRIvolution Reignite acts as an integrated roadmap to enhance the company's global competitiveness and operational efficiency. Through this transformation, BRI strives to create significant added value for all stakeholders, while maintaining its commitment to supporting the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector.
This transformation rests on two strategic pillars. The first pillar focuses on strengthening the low-cost funding structure (CASA) through the optimization of transaction banking services. Meanwhile, the second pillar emphasizes the revitalization of the core business in the micro credit sector and the development of new growth engines in the consumer banking segment to respond to dynamic market dynamics.
The success of this strategy is reflected in the company's financial performance in the first quarter of 2026. BRI Group recorded asset growth of 7.2 percent year-on-year to Rp2,250 trillion, driven by credit disbursement which grew 13.7 percent to reach Rp1,562 trillion. In the same period, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rp15.5 trillion, supported by a decrease in the cost of funds to 2.33 percent.
This solid financial condition strengthens BRI's intermediation role in supporting national development programs. Until June 2026, the realization of BRI's People's Business Credit (KUR) disbursement reached Rp103.81 trillion, targeting 2 million MSME actors. This disbursement was dominated by the productive sector, with the agricultural sector absorbing the largest share at 42.68 percent, followed by the trade sector at 32.34 percent.
In addition to MSME empowerment, BRI is also helping to make the national housing provision program a success. Until mid-2026, the company's subsidized mortgage (KPR Subsidi) disbursement reached Rp18.39 trillion for 134 thousand debtors, the majority through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme. Meanwhile, the Housing Program Credit (KPP) disbursement was recorded at Rp10.7 trillion to stimulate the property industry ecosystem and employment absorption.
Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, added that the transformation within SOEs is directed toward building a long-term foundation for national economic sustainability. Dony emphasized that the success of this operational transformation must also be balanced with the development of human resource competencies and adaptive leadership in the future.
