Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut has once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector through the "Go Global Academy" intensive training program. The two-day event, held on June 29–30, 2026, in Pekanbaru, was the result of a strategic collaboration with the University of Riau.
A total of 10 selected MSMEs, consisting of eight culinary sector actors and two creative economy sector actors, received comprehensive guidance. All participants were selected fostered partners who had undergone a series of Pertamina development programs and were alumni of the 2025 MSME Academy.
Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, emphasized that this training was designed to strengthen the business foundation of MSMEs. The materials covered a wide spectrum, ranging from product standardization, legality, business governance, to crucial aspects related to customs and product export readiness for international markets.
In addition to presentations, participants were also facilitated with business clinic sessions. These direct consultation sessions with experts allowed entrepreneurs to examine operational bottlenecks and formulate more sustainable business development strategies. This approach is expected to enhance the competitiveness of local products so they are not only dominant domestically but also relevant in the global market.
Participants welcomed this initiative positively. Citra Sari, owner of Laksamana Snack, expressed that this training provided valuable knowledge for business owners to improve quality standards. Echoing this sentiment, Suryani from Permata Food added that Pertamina's continuous mentoring has provided deep insights into good production management, which serves as a major asset for MSMEs to step up to an international scale.
