Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Gorontalo Province, Danial Ibrahim, emphasized that the health of civil servants is a strategic investment that serves as the main foundation for enhancing the quality of regional public services. This statement was made in response to the agency's initiative to organize a series of health promotion activities for all staff members.
The activities, which involved the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Bapenda Unit, included joint morning exercise sessions, eye health exams, and intensive awareness sessions regarding the early detection of tumors and cancer. This step was taken as a concrete effort to instill a healthy lifestyle culture within the provincial government workplace.
Danial added that the success of an organization should not be judged solely by Regional Original Revenue (PAD) achievement figures. According to him, the sustainability of the agency's performance heavily depends on the well-being and health of its internal human resources. Physically and mentally healthy personnel are considered to have a greater capacity to work professionally and with integrity.
Furthermore, this preventive program is expected to reduce the risk of chronic diseases that are often missed from early treatment due to a lack of awareness. In addition to providing medical education, the event was designed to strengthen interpersonal bonds and solidarity between leadership and staff within the Gorontalo Province Bapenda.
