Negative sentiment at the market opening was dominated by selling pressure on several energy and mineral issuers. Shares of PT Darma Henwa Tbk. (MBMA), which fell 2.02% to Rp484, as well as PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk. (BRMS), which weakened 1.78% to Rp496.

Despite the pressure, several issuers were still seen making gains amid the market correction. Shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. (MEDC) rose 1.7%, followed by PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR) with a 1.53% increase, and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS), which strengthened by 1.02%.
