A proud achievement was recorded by the student delegation of Malikussaleh University (Unimal) in the International Summer School 2026 event held in Kazakhstan from June 1 to 14, 2026. Muhammad Hafizi, a student of the Development Economics Study Program, won first place in the competition Achievement Project in Business Incubation of Sustainable Development Startup.
Hafizi, along with his multinational team, introduced 'Golden Harvest Honey', a startup concept focusing on the development of the local honey industry. This innovation not only prioritizes profitability but also integrates digital technology in the supply chain and emphasizes local community empowerment to support economic sustainability and environmental conservation.
In the project, Hafizi collaborated with fellow Unimal students, Vivin Mahenrato and Darmawan, as well as two students from Uzbekistan. The team was deemed successful in blending entrepreneurship theory with applicable social impact analysis, thereby captivating the panel of judges consisting of international innovation experts and business practitioners.
Hafizi expressed that the experience served as a strategic platform to broaden cross-border business perspectives. He played a vital role in designing business development strategies and conducting economic feasibility analyses, which ultimately became the determining factors for the team's success in winning the prestigious competition.
