Marking its three-year journey in the national broadcasting industry, the news television station Garuda TV is preparing to hold its anniversary peak celebration night titled "Mahayuga". This grand event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Teater Besar Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Jakarta, from 19:00 to 22:00 WIB.
Derived from Sanskrit meaning a new phase or chapter, the concept of "Mahayuga" was chosen as a representation of Garuda TV's direction and transformation. As a news media outlet, the television station is committed to strengthening journalistic integrity and presenting educational, verified content that brings a positive impact to the wider community.
President Director of Garuda TV, Fahmi M. Anwari, revealed that the age of three is a crucial foundation for the company to continue growing. He emphasized that Garuda TV wants to move closer to the needs of viewers through broadcasts that are not only informative, but also able to spark optimism and strengthen national collaboration. So far, the TV station has been active in initiating public discussion spaces through programs such as Indonesia Punya Kamu, Leaders' Briefing, and Economic Briefing.
The celebration's peak night will be packaged into three continuous main segments. The first is Dialektika Mahayuga, a critical discussion forum presenting academics and national figures to discuss the nation's future. Second is Anugerah Mahayuga, as a form of appreciation for individuals and institutions dedicated to Indonesia's progress. Finally, Simfoni Mahayuga, which presents a grand entertainment stage.
The entertainment stage is set to be lively with the performance of the legendary band Dewa 19, collaborating with young musicians such as Anggis Devaki, Yan Joshua, Kenriz, and Angie Carvalho. Hosted by the presenter duo Rian Ibram and Vega Darwanti, the event will also feature a thrilling performance by illusionist The Sacred Riana. Operating Director of Garuda TV, Untung Pranoto, ensured that all production aspects, from lighting to live broadcast quality, have been thoroughly prepared to treat viewers at home as well as around a thousand invited guests at the venue.
