The Equipment and Logistics Department recently held its performance evaluation conference for the first half of 2026 in Hanoi, presided over by the Department's Director, Major General Le Viet Thang. The main focus of the meeting was a strategic review of the management of equipment, weaponry, and warehousing infrastructure across all police units.
During the first six months of this year, the department successfully formulated various operational standards regarding logistics fulfillment, ranging from weapon distribution to military vehicles. Current strategic initiatives include adjusting the comprehensive planning scheme for the warehousing system to make it more modern, integrated, and responsive to changes in the police organizational structure, which now adapts to local administrative dynamics.
The department now emphasizes the importance of innovating the planning process based on actual data and in-depth analysis. This step aims to ensure budget allocation and equipment procurement are carried out more efficiently and accurately, both for routine needs and emergency response operations, such as search and rescue missions.
In his directive, Major General Le Viet Thang instructed all ranks to maximize the application of information technology in every operational aspect. This step aligns with the institution's commitment to carrying out the mandate of scientific development and national digital transformation, which is expected to create a more transparent and accountable logistics system.
As a form of appreciation for the personnel's dedication, several awards from the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Public Security were conferred upon groups and individuals who demonstrated outstanding performance. Moving forward, work discipline, ideological education, and internal oversight will be tightened to ensure all equipment is maintained in prime condition to realize a modern and elite force.
