The global smart technology and consumer electronics industry is set to flood Jakarta through the Indonesia International Consumer Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo (IEAE) 2026. This international business-to-business (B2B) trade show is scheduled to take place from August 5 to 7, 2026, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Entering its eighth edition, this exhibition initiated by Chaoyu Exhibition promises a much larger scale with more varied products.

Occupying Halls A1, A2, and A3 at JIExpo, this year's event will feature nearly 350 manufacturers spread across 500 exhibition booths. Interestingly, about a quarter of the total exhibition area is allocated for premium booths (raw space), indicating the high enthusiasm and participation of top-tier technology brands. Visitors, especially local business players, will be presented with more than 50,000 innovative new products, ranging from gadgets to smart household appliances.

As a global trade bridge, approximately 90 percent of the exhibitors in this exhibition are original equipment/design manufacturers (OEM/ODM) from leading electronics industry hubs in China, such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Ningbo. Special focus is also given to the Zhanjiang Home Appliance Industrial Base Pavilion, which will showcase modern kitchen technology from dozens of its best manufacturers. The presence of these firsthand manufacturers provides a golden opportunity for local businesses to establish direct partnerships without intermediaries.

Not only serving as a stage for international corporations, IEAE 2026 also embraces domestic electronics industry players. This synergy between global and local manufacturers is expected to trigger technology transfer, open up new spaces for collaboration, and boost the competitiveness of Indonesian-assembled electronic products in both regional and international markets.

The main theme raised this time centers on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and healthy, smart living. Visitors can explore future technology ecosystems, such as smart wearables, AI-based speakers, smart kitchen appliances, to energy-efficient household appliances specially designed to increase the efficiency and comfort of modern life.

With Indonesia's status as one of the largest consumer electronics markets in Southeast Asia, IEAE 2026 is projected to become a strategic epicenter for domestic importers, distributors, retailers, and e-commerce players. This exhibition is expected not only to be a technological showcase but also a driving engine for digital economic growth through productive B2B transactions.
