The Indonesian government has officially launched the logo for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, which will serve as the primary visual identity throughout the entire series of independence celebrations in 2026. The selected design is the creative work of Fajar Novario, a designer from Padang, West Sumatra, who emerged victorious after a rigorous selection process.

The logo selection was particularly special as it involved the active participation of the public nationwide through an open voting mechanism facilitated by an official website managed by the Presidential Palace. Public enthusiasm was significant, with a total of 68,569 votes coming in from 38 provinces across the country.

This design democratization process took place from June 24 to June 28, 2026. Fajar Novario was selected after beating four other finalist designs that had undergone an in-depth curation process by an expert team. Public involvement in deciding this visual identity reflects the spirit of mutual cooperation in welcoming the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebrations.

For government agencies, institutions, and the general public needing the official graphic assets, a download link has been provided online via the official independence day portal. This step was taken to ensure visual consistency in the use of celebration attributes across various platforms during the upcoming independence month.
