The Kampar Regency Government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring child protection and improving the quality of public health services. This was demonstrated during the 2026 National Children's Day (HAN) Commemoration Ceremony held alongside the 75th Anniversary of the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) in the courtyard of the Pulau Terap Village Office, Kuok District, on Tuesday (July 21, 2026).
Representing the Regent of Kampar Ahmad Yuzar, Assistant II of the Kampar Regency Secretariat, Muhammad, served as the ceremony inspector. In his address, he emphasized that optimally fulfilling children's developmental rights and providing a sense of security are crucial investments in cultivating a superior next generation toward the vision of Advanced Indonesia ("Indonesia Maju").
This year's HAN commemoration carried the theme "Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia," alongside the IBI Anniversary celebration themed "One Million More Midwives." The local government expressed high appreciation for the dedication of midwives as the front line of maternal and child health services, playing a vital role in reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in the Kampar region.
The series of events was enlivened by social actions and integrated public services, including free health checkups for pregnant women and children, dental exams, medical consultations, and mobile population administration services. The presence of a mobile library fleet added to the enthusiasm of hundreds of children filling the event location.
Equally attracting attention, a Traditional Games Parade was also held as a local culture-based educational medium. Besides honing agility and the spirit of mutual cooperation, this activity was aimed at reducing children's dependence on gadgets to foster a healthy, competitive, and noble golden generation.
