One of the main points of the agreement is India's commitment to ensuring the availability of high-quality, affordable medicines for the Indonesian people. This initiative is expected to improve national healthcare standards through the diversification of pharmaceutical supplies from India.
In addition to the healthcare sector, both countries highlighted the importance of strengthening food security. India plans to support Indonesia by supplying superior locally developed wheat seed varieties, while also exchanging knowledge on sustainable agricultural practices and the effective use of modern agrotechnology.
In the technology sector, Modi highlighted the vast potential of the young populations in both nations. Through this new partnership, Indonesia and India will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) development, telecommunications infrastructure expansion, and strengthening the digital startup ecosystem to compete globally and deliver tangible economic impacts for both nations.
