The Family Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK) of Pasuruan City organized a Family Mental Health Seminar at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building on Tuesday (21/7/2026). This strategic step was taken to increase the capacity of cadres in maintaining emotional resilience and harmony at the family level.
The educational event featured mental health nursing expert Dr. HeniDwi Windarwati, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.J., as the keynote speaker. The agenda was attended by TP PKK board members from the sub-district to urban village levels, as well as Pokja IV health cadres from all areas of Pasuruan City.
Chairperson of TP PKK Pasuruan City, Suryani Firdaus Adi Wibowo, emphasized that mental health is just as urgent as physical health. Amidst the rapid penetration of information technology and changes in social interaction patterns, the domestic challenges faced by every family are becoming increasingly complex.
Suryani considers PKK cadres to be crucial elements in direct contact with the grassroots. In this position, cadres are expected not only to be administrators of programs but to act as agents of change, motivators, and companions sensitive to the psychosocial conditions of local residents.
Through this training, TP PKK of Pasuruan City aims to increase cadres' sensitivity in detecting early signs of mental disorders, eliminate negative stigma in society, and encourage openness among residents to access professional counseling services to create a resilient and prosperous community.
