The Bangkalan Regency Government has officially inaugurated the regency-level Posyandu Advisory Team to improve the quality and reach of health services to remote villages. The agenda, which was coupled with a Coordination Meeting, took place at The Sky, Bangkalan, on Thursday (30/7/2026), led directly by the Regent of Bangkalan, Lukman Hakim.

In his directive, Regent Lukman Hakim instructed the newly inaugurated team to not be a mere organizational formality. He emphasized the importance of the team members' active role in going directly to the field to absorb residents' aspirations and map real needs in the public health sector.

Furthermore, Lukman highlighted the program to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates, which remains a top priority for regional development. Efforts to fulfill nutrition for pregnant women, infants, and toddlers will now also be synergized with the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program to ensure health interventions are distributed more evenly.

Echoing this, the Vice Regent of Bangkalan, Moh. Fauzan Ja'far, encouraged the Posyandu Advisory Team to act as a driving force for cross-sector collaboration. This synergy is expected to guide the realization of health programs at the village level to align with the direction of central government policies.

From an administrative perspective, the Regional Secretary of Bangkalan, Ismet Efendi, reminded of the importance of accuracy in the reporting system for the early detection of child growth and development conditions. This was reinforced by a representative from the East Java Province Community and Village Empowerment Department (DPMD), who asserted that a valid database is the main key to formulating targeted posyandu programs.
