The Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the United Development Party (PPP) in Jepara Regency continues to intensify its community-based approach to strengthen its political support base. This step was realized through the distribution of sports equipment assistance in the form of volleyballs to the Youth Group of Mantingan Village, Jepara.
This action is a continuation of the work program of the new management of the Jepara PPP DPC, which is committed to aligning internal consolidation with concrete social activities. Before targeting the sports community, the Kaaba-symbolized party had distributed wheelchair assistance to local residents in need of accessibility.
The Chairman of the Jepara PPP DPC, Haizul Ma'arif, explained that the party's future political direction must be more inclusive and capable of reaching various layers of society. Thus far, PPP has been known to have a solid mass base among santri (Islamic boarding school students) and traditional cadres. Through a sports approach, PPP aims to engage the millennial generation and youth groups more actively.
Haizul considers sports not merely a physical activity, but a strategic medium to build discipline, togetherness, and sportsmanship among the younger generation. He hopes this stimulus can revive enthusiasm for sports at the village level.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Jepara PPP DPC, Agus Sutisna, added that the party's electoral work must be present in the community continuously, not just ahead of elections. PPP is committed to continuing to open interactive communication spaces through mentoring youth, social, and creative groups in Jepara.
