PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) has declared its commitment to fully support the hosting of the XII West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) to be held in 2026. This step is taken not merely as a sports competition sponsor, but as a strategic effort to stimulate the local economy and preserve local cultural heritage.

AMMAN's Vice President of Policy & Permitting and Social Impact, Priyo Pramono, revealed that the copper and gold mining company's involvement is driven by a spirit of collaboration to grow together with the community. Interestingly, a number of AMMAN employees will also compete directly as athletes representing the region in several sports, such as golf, archery, boxing, aerosports, and swimming.

This active participation aligns with the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) Program championed by AMMAN. Through the 'Sports for Development' pillar, the company positions sports as a medium for character building in the younger generation. This program is also realized through the training of coaches, referees, and sports clubs in the West Sumbawa region to continuously raise the standard of local competition.

In addition to focusing on sporting achievements, AMMAN's concern also targets the economic empowerment sector and the preservation of arts and culture. One concrete initiative is the coaching of traditional weaving artisan groups to improve product quality and expand market access for local entrepreneurship in NTB.

For information, PORPROV XII NTB 2026 is a quadrennial multi-sport event managed by the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of NTB. This event plays a crucial role as a breeding ground for regional athletes as well as a stepping stone in preparation for the XXII Nusa Tenggara National Sports Week (PON) in 2028.
