Renowned jewelry brand European Diamond & Gemstone has officially announced the temporary closure of its entire store network. This decision takes effect from July 11 to July 24. In an official statement on its fan page, management stated that this move was taken in response to volatile market conditions, while also allowing the company time to evaluate and revamp its internal operating systems.
Founded in 2007 in Ho Chi Minh City by Hoang Thi Thanh Nga, the company is known as a provider of natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and various precious metal jewelry. The brand's founder, Hoang Thi Thanh Nga, is a figure closely tied to the entertainment industry. A graduate in International Trade from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, she won the First Runner-Up title in the Mrs. Universe 2022 beauty pageant.
Prior to this closure decision, European Diamond was known to be quite aggressive in building its brand image through collaborations with several Vietnamese celebrities, ranging from Ngoc Chau and Xuan Hanh to actress Nhat Kim Anh. The brand was also a frequent strategic partner and jewelry sponsor for various prestigious beauty pageants, including Miss Grand Vietnam and Miss Cosmo Vietnam.
Beyond her involvement in the jewelry industry, Thanh Nga has also been active as a judge in various crown design competitions and arts award shows. She even ventured into acting with a guest role in the film *Mesdames Thanh Sac*, which her company also supported as a sponsor. The operational closure has now drawn public attention, given the brand's central role in Vietnam's entertainment and lifestyle ecosystem.
