General Chair of the Family Welfare and Empowerment Movement Team (TP PKK), Tri Tito Karnavian, emphasized the strategic importance of the PKK organization as a primary partner of the government. In her direction in Makassar on Thursday (7/9/2026), she stressed that the PKK has strong legal legitimacy through Presidential Regulation No. 99 of 2017, enabling operational synergy with Regional Device Organizations (OPD) through both national (APBN) and regional (APBD) budget support.
Tri Tito called on regional TP PKK executive boards not to merely wait for instructions from local governments. Instead, PKK cadres are encouraged to take greater initiative in designing work programs aligned with OPD policy targets. This synergy is considered highly effective in accelerating public service achievements, such as the implementation of free health checkup programs currently prioritized in various regions.
In addition to strengthening collaboration with the government, Tri also urged the TP PKK to expand its partnership network with the private sector through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) schemes. This step is expected to broaden the reach of social services, including cataract surgery assistance and free glasses distribution for people in need.
During the visit, Tri Tito also appreciated the efforts of the South Sulawesi Provincial TP PKK in boosting the economy through MSME exhibitions. Furthermore, she witnessed a MURI record-breaking event featuring the simultaneous intake of Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) pills by pregnant women, as part of efforts to improve public health heading toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
